Zhi Wang (王智)

Zhi Wang received his PhD in 2014 from Tsinghua University, advised by Prof. Shiqiang Yang and Prof. Wenwu Zhu in the Lab of Multimedia and Networking, and his BE in 2008 from Tsinghua University. He is currently an assistant professor in Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University. His research areas include multimedia network, mobile cloud computing and large-scale multimedia systems. He received Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award from China Computer Federation in 2014, Best Paper Award at ACM Multimedia 2012, Best Student Paper Award at MMM 2015, and Best Paper Finalist at IEEE/ACM IWQoS 2016. His current research areas are as follows:
We are looking for graduate students with strong interests and motivation to work on data-driven network design, mobile cloud computing and big-data systems. Students with hands-on systems building abilities and mathematical background are highly encouraged. In 2017, our group will have 1 PhD student and 2 master student positions (TBSI students co-surpvised by Professor Wenwu Zhu) and 3 master student positions at Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University.
