What Does CELTS Consist of ?

With reference to mainstream E-Learning standards/specifications published by IMS, ADL, AICC, especially IEEE LTSC, CELTS is developed to cover many aspects of learning technology and to address most conceptual issues encountered in the process of E-Learning. It consists of several sub-standards describing architecture, learning object metadata, content packaging, learner model, user interface, LMS, and so forth.

Following is an incomplete list of CELTS standards published by CELTSC:

  • CELTS-1: Architecture and Reference Model
  • CELTS-2: Glossary
  • CELTS-3: Learning Object Metadata
  • CELTS-4: Semantics and Exchange Bindings
  • CELTS-9: Content Packaging
  • CELTS-11: Learner Model
  • CELTS-13: Student Identifiers
  • CELTS-17: Platform and Media Profiles
  • CELTS-20: Learning Management System

As one of the working groups of CELTSC, we focus on the localization and development of CELTS-3 (Learning Object Metadata) and CELTS-4 (Semantics and Exchange Bindings).
